The dr2cloud (formally VRaaS) platform upgrades to the first enterprise-class cross-hypervisor disaster recovery and business continuity software that protects, replicates, and migrates data between vSphere, Hyper-V, and cloud environments.
dr2cloud from AssureStor, our leading DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) platform for virtual environments, has just taken another leap forward with the implementation of the latest Zerto Virtual Replication 4.0 release, introducing cross-hypervisor disaster recovery functionality.
Zerto’s enterprise-class business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) software is the first to protect, replicate, and migrate data between VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors, as well as across private, hybrid, and public cloud environments.
Zerto Virtual Replication 4.0 future proofs the IT strategy for all data centres, whether private, public, or a hybrid cloud mix of infrastructure, by not being tied to a hypervisor or storage vendor for BC/DR and workload mobility. Moving and protecting workloads across clouds or hypervisors is now simple for IT managers, whilst still providing robust protection including low recovery times, simplicity of operation, and scalability.
Zerto Virtual Replication 4.0 new features include: –
- Cross-Hypervisor Disaster Recovery – support to replicate both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere environments into VMware-based cloud data centers such as VRaaS.
- New User Interface – the user interface in Zerto Virtual Replication has been dramatically updated to HMTL 5, removing the requirement for Adobe Flash.
- Improved Scalability – enhancements and full 64bit support for the Virtual Replication Appliances now scale for larger environments.
- vSphere 6.0 Support – full support for the latest VMware vSphere platform.
Jason Reid, Managing Director of AssureStor, says “Our dr2cloud (formally VRaaS) platform has delivered unparalleled levels of protection for VMware customers since launch, providing RPOs measured in seconds and RTOs measured in minutes. Through the rapid deployment of Zerto’s latest release, AssureStor can now extend those same SLAs to Microsoft Hyper-V environments.”
