Assurestor is the backup and DR platform for MSPs. We have sold only through partners from the day we started, and the platform is what more than ten years of running backup and DR for them taught us.
Our story
Jason Reid founded Assurestor in 2012 with one rule: sell only through partners, and never compete with them for a customer. We have kept that rule ever since.
For more than a decade we hosted, supported and recovered backup and DR for UK MSPs on the best engines in the market. We saw the same problem again and again. Every engine came with its own console, its own security settings, its own contract and its own support line, and the MSP carried the cost of holding them together.
The Assurestor platform is our answer. One layer over five best-of-breed engines, with orchestration built for MSP tenants, Four Eyes security and MFA, single sign-on, Mia, our AI assistant, and analytics across every customer. Run it on our infrastructure, on yours, or both.

He has been a business owner and entrepreneur for more than 30 years, focused on technology start-ups, with experience across infrastructure, software development, data centres, service and support, and IT governance, as well as the commercial management of growing businesses.

Founder and CEO
Jason founded Assurestor in 2012 to deliver backup and disaster recovery only through the channel, and has led the business since. He built the Assurestor platform, including Mia and Four Eyes protection, and leads the engine partnerships behind it.
Before Assurestor he spent sixteen years as CTO of Network Resource Group, then was CTO of CloudXL, giving him more than thirty years in IT infrastructure and services.

Neil is responsible for Assurestor's commercial leadership and go-to-market strategy, including the move from cloud service provider to platform company and the refresh of the Assurestor brand.
He brings nearly thirty years in technology, SaaS, cloud infrastructure and data protection, including executive roles at two businesses acquired by Fusion-io and more than a decade as a founding partner and director of Base Media Cloud.
